Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome in an Eclamptic Patient After Cardiac Arrest; Case Report and Literature Review

Posterior reversible encephalopaty (PRES) is a disorder characterized by hypertension, headache, seizures and visual impairment. Causes of PRES include; severe hypertension, pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, sepsis, history of renal and autoimmune diseases and use of immunosuppressive or cytotoxic agents. Diagnosis of the sendrom can be difficult. For this reason clinical and radiological findings should be evaluated together. In this report, a 19-years old, 32 week pregnant eclamptic woman, who had been diagnosed with PRES is presented with discussing the relevant literature

Kardiyak Arest Geçiren Eklamptik Hastada Gelişen Posterior Reversible Ensefalopati Sendromu; Olgu Sunumu ve Literatürün Gözden Geçirilmesi

Posterior reversible ensefalopati sendromu (PRES), hipertansiyon, başağrısı, nöbetler ve görsel bozuklukla karakterize bir hastalıktır. PRES’in nedenleri; ağır hipertansiyon, preeklampsi, eklampsi, sepsis, renal ve otoimmün hastalıklar, immünosupresif ve sitotoksik ajanların kullanımıdır. Sendromun tanısı zor olabilir. Bu nedenle klinik ve radyolojik bulgular birlikte değerlendirilmelidir. Bu bildiride, PRES tanısı alan, 19 yaşında 32 haftalık gebe eklamptik hasta literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur.
